Snow Island Review is the Francis Marion University literary magazine that I did a Logo redesign for as well as their cover for issue 34. For the cover I wanted it to feel very warm and cozy, evoking the feeling of sitting down with a nice book with a warm cup of coffee/tea on a nice day. To evoke this warm, cozy, and comforting feeling I decided to do a digital painting of what I imagine that nice day would look like. For the mark I wanted it to be a simplified fox, the school mascot, that incorporated a writing instrument. I decided to incorporate a S into the fox silhouette as well as a pencil in the fox’s tail.
